An open floorplan lets the living room, dining room and kitchen flow into one another seamlessly. Everyone can hang out whether you are making a meal, watching a movie, or embarking on your next great creative endeavor.
SLEEPING:
The primary bedroom features a king size bed, a closet, an ensuite bathroom with a massive soaking tub, and 180 degree views of the desert.
The second bedroom also features a king size bed, closet and outlets for all of your devices built in to the bedside tables.
Both rooms have hanging rods for your clothes and plenty of space for your belongings. The rooms are also soundproof, providing privacy from the other bedroom and other guests.
In the living room, a chaise folds out to become a queen size bed for additional guests or just another place to chill.
OUTSIDE:
Hike the boulders and explore! Check out the sweeping desert views from different vantage points.
Jump in the new shipping container pool during the heat of the day, and into the hot tub when it cools down at night! Rinse off at the one-of-a-kind boulder shower with hot water temperature control. Lay out on the pool loungers and soak up the sun, or chill out under the moonlight. Bring your sunscreen!
Take a nap on the stargazing truck under the shade during the day, or cozy up at night with a blanket and check out the endless stars.
A chest of games like cornhole, lawn darts, frisbee, and various others are there to play with. A stretch of turf is there for any games you want to play or come up with yourself!
Have coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening or just chill out on the shaded patio.
Enjoy the brand new grill and eat Al Fresco!
THE KITCHEN
The open kitchenette packs a punch of luxury convenience into a small, sleek. A gas cooktop stove, conventional oven, Keurig coffee maker, multifunction countertop oven, and stainless steel fridge give you plenty of options for making meals for everyone. The propane grill is just steps outside of the kitchen door!
ENTERTAINMENT
After hiking the rocks and swimming in the pool you feel like kicking back and watching TV or a movie, enjoy the projector and apple TV with all the apps you could want! Enjoy 5.1 Dolby sound with the Bose soundbar!
Our team is available should you need anything. We are always a phone call or message away!
Stars on the Rocks is under new ownership! Improvements and upgrades are being made every day for your comfort and enjoyment. Please note that prices are lower due to upgrades being made. We are also getting new photos of the property to highlight the new features, design, and artwork. We appreciate your understanding.
FAMILY:
We are family friendly! But no infants are allowed. Children 2 years old and above must be included as part of the total guest count. Please note that the house is NOT childproof (ie no outlet protectors, no gate to pool, etc). But the infants are allowed if the guests take full responsibility for them. Please see our House Rules for more information.
PETS:
Pets are accepted on a case by case basis and pet owners must agree to our pet rules before we can approve. Please send us the breed and age for consideration. We will request a $75 cleaning & companion fee per pet. Please see our House Rules for more information.
RESPECT:
PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF OUR NEIGHBORS! We are in a quiet, peaceful area of Joshua Tree. There are strict county ordinances regarding excessive noise and light pollution. Please respect our neighbors by following the county's Good Neighbor Policy and refrain from any loud outdoor noise or disturbances by 10pm. Failure to respect quiet hours or after an initial warning may result in cancellation of your reservation without refund.
OUTDOOR MUSIC:
Sound travels far here. Absolutely NO outdoor music is allowed per county regulations.
HOT TUB:
Our 4-person hot tub is set to 104 degrees.
OUTDOOR POOL & SHOWER: [POOL IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR SUMMER]
The outdoor shipping container pool is filled and maintained for your enjoyment all year long. The pool does have a heater, but heating the pool must be requested in advance and will include an additional charge. We do our best to maintain the pool after every stay, but many small insects may try to take a drink and cool off in the desert heat. So do not be alarmed if you find bits of nature with you in the pool
Pool heating is available upon request and subject to availability, at an additional cost of 150 USD per night (subject to change). During summer, it is warm enough to enjoy. In winter, it may not reach expected temperatures due to our high desert location.
AC/HEATING:
We have a split AC/heater unit in each suite.
WIFI:
We have the fastest wifi in the area (15mbps), but we do not guarantee these speeds at all hours of the day. We are in a remote area of Joshua Tree so speed depends on the neighborhood bandwidth, weather, and many other factors outside of our control.
PHOTOSHOOTS & VIDEOS:
If you’re interested in doing a photoshoot or shooting a video for commercial use, please let us know what it is for. You must get approval beforehand! If approved, we have an additional fee for licensing and usage.
WILDLIFE:
You’re surely guaranteed to encounter wildlife on your stay including families of quail, coyotes, rabbits, rare Albino lizards, insects, snakes, and the endangered kangaroo mice. There are snakes and scorpions in Joshua Tree, so if you are venturing into the rocks, close-toed shoes are recommended. If you are adventuring at night, bring a flashlight or headlamp for your own safety!
NO SMOKING:
No smoking or burning candles. This is a non-smoking home. Any and all smoking should be kept outdoors and at least 15 feet away from any open exterior doors. There will be a $250 charge for anyone not honoring this guideline. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE CIGARETTE BUTTS in the property.
CLEANING:
Health & safety is our number one priority. Our in-house cleaning team is trained on CDC and WHO protocols. We take extra measures to ensure the home is sanitized and safe before every arrival. For this reason we aren’t able to offer early check-ins or late check-outs. Thank you for understanding!
VERIFICATION: Bookings are protected by TRUVI. After confirmation, guests must complete identity verification (takes less than a minute) before arrival. Check-in details will be shared after this step. Guests may also need to agree to House Rules or Terms & Conditions.
CHECK-IN FORM: Before check-in instructions, guests must fill out a form via our link to help coordinate our ground team.
LACK OF CELLULAR COVERAGE:
You will notice that cell service is hard to come by in our secluded desert setting. Don't worry—consider it an invitation to unplug and fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty around you. We recommend planning ahead to make the most of this serene escape from the digital world.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Joshua Tree! Nomadia's place was the perfect spot... and the stargazing was unreal!

Perfect place to unwind. My girlfriend and I had an amazing weekend here and really enjoyed looking at the stars while relaxing in the hot tub. The projector worked great too. Would definitely recommend!

Convenient location and the amenities Not as secluded as we would have liked.

We loved our stay here . You must be certain to read the driving instructions for arrival, I did not and ended up on a very rough , impassable road . My fault , in retrospect . The location was amazing with beautiful views , nestled up against the boulders. Star gazing was an added benefit, and the stargazing truck was a great place to do so . We enjoyed the amenities in the evenings , pool and hot tub after some long hikes and very hot days . Beds and pillows were comfortable , ample towels for showers and pool/ hot tub

After a rocky start, we really enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and fun. The tub inside was a great feature. Some parts of the interior are well-worn, but overall, the place was comfy, looked nice, and was really enjoyable. It has great views of the valley and lots of places to hang. The outdoor space was the star of the show, and was really well put together. We enjoyed lots of the desert wildlife. We did have some trouble upon arrival because the unit had not been cleaned since the last guests. Nomadia was quick to respond and work on resolving the issue. When they could not get a cleaning crew out that evening, they provided us a place to stay in a nearby property. We were back in the house, now cleaned, by noon the next day. Stuff happens; we get it. The response from the host is what matters, and we were pleased with how it was handled, including refunding the one night. Be aware that additional contract terms beyond the Airbnb listing are mandatory.

I stayed with my daughter for two nights to celery our birthdays. The house was fantastic, so different to others, the views at night with the sunset was so beautiful. Close to the national park for hiking, we did the split rock, hidden valley and Barker dam hikes and were mesmerised by the beauty. To come home to the house after a long days hiking was so relaxing to sit out side with a cold drink and wait for the sun to set. Would recommend this place to anyone and who knows we might be back.
